We’ve been spending a bunch of time in the paint booth this week and have tons of nice looking frames to show for it.

This frame is red. It looks silver, but really it is red.

This is a funky little number called dormant red. When you spray the powdercoat on the frame it looks red. Then you stick the frame in the oven and it turns silver. Then you cover it in clear coat and it comes out this really nice candy apple red. I really wish i had paid more attention in chemistry class.

I thought i might let you in on a bit of the paint process. You can click on each of the thumbnail photos and follow the process by which we paint panels on our frames. This frame has already had a base coat of powder sprayed on it.

After we paint the band on the frame we cover it once more in matte clearcoat give it a  really cool frosted effect.

After the better part of the week painting, i spent part of today building up Henry’s new 29er. Henry is 6’8 tall. This frame makes those 29er wheels look like 26 inch wheels.
