Ellen and Ron approached us earlier this year with desire to have road bikes built for their travels to Europe. They take part in longer tours in some very scenic locales, but as these tours are fully supported, they don’t need touring bikes per se.
Ellen and Ron wanted fast and comfy road bikes that had clearance for a little bit larger tire but also a rack to carry an extra jacket and maybe a bit of food.
We’re really happy with how these bikes turned out. Ellen and Ron are fairly similar in their bike fit, even so far as having the same saddle height. The major differences in these bikes (aside from the colour) are male and female specific saddles, stem length and bar width.
Both bikes are coming with S and S hard cases to protect them from all the possible ills of Trans-Atlantic flights. A nice little touch are the folding Nitto racks that can be fit in the case with the bikes. For more photos be sure to check out our Flickr page.
