You’ll have to excuse us for the lack of posts over the last month. It’s been busy as always, we’ve been wrenching in races all over the world, racing at the Singlespeed World Championships in Durango and organizing the best party/bike race we possibly could.
Last Saturday we hosted the True North Cross in Guelph and for a first time event, we think it was a real success. Above you’ll see an awesome photo by Mike Clark of True North athlete Andrew Croutch charging one of the barriers.
We then traveled back to the True North headquarters for the Singlespeed Cyclo-cross Nationals. We spent the week grooming a 1.5km trail through the field behind our shop and thanks to the participants and our many sponsors the event was more fun then we ever could have imagined. The Men’s title was won by Paul Cooney and the Woman’s by Jennie Jackson.
Zach took home the Custom True North frame outfitted with Octto components. Needless to say he was quite happy.
Gander and Hugh made the trip down to Durango, Colorado for Singlespeed Mountain Bike Worlds. By all accounts it was a good time and more than made up for the 29 hours it took to drive there.
While this was going we still managed to get a few bikes out. Here is Michael’s new lugged Fixie. The pictures don’t do it justice, it really is quite special.
Liz got a new Step-through lugged Touring bike.
Juliette got an amazing new 29er complete with custom powdercoated Stan’s Rims and Shimano XT cranks.
Here is a picture of the Mountain bike Hugh built for the Singlespeed Worlds. Modified and polished XTR parts adorn the beautiful Triple Top tube frame. Again: awesome times last weekend guys. The afternoon race had a great course, and the singlespeed race was an absolute blast. I wish I hadn’t (stupidly) driven there so I could have partaken in more of the liquid-sports. 😉

Great pics–Hugh’s rig is very unique–is it more form or function?
Form and Function. It rides as nice as it looks.
Nice. Wait, double nice–form and function!
