Jim stopped by on the weekend to pick up his new black, Campy Centaur equipped road bike. As soon as he got home he took it out for a good ride and sent us a nice email on Monday morning.

Hello Hugh and Team –

I cannot remember the last time I went for a 2 hr + ride that I did not return with numb fingers, a dull ache in my lower back, a pinch between my shoulder blades – until last Saturday afternoon that is…My first ride on my True North was the first time that did not happen.  The only pain I experienced was in my quads – where it should be after a good ride. The Eriksen “Sweetpost” is amazing – well worth the additional cost in my mind.  It feels solid until a pavement gap or manhole cover appears then it seems to smooth the sharp edges that would otherwise be transmitted right into my lumbar.  Standing to power over a smaller rise is automatic – on my old Miyata, it was more like getting out of a chair.  Excellent excellent job guys.  Thank you all

Cheers,

-Jim

We also sent a very very large sport touring frame and fork out the door. To give you an idea of the frame’s size check out the location of the brake bosses on the seat stays; those are for a 700c wheel. It’s not to often you can walk into your local bike store and grab a 76cm frame off the rack.

We allocated a bit of time last week to get some repairs and modifications done. Croutch’s singlespeed frame is upgrading from v-brake’s to disc and is  getting a disc brake mount.

Remember……the countdown is on! 1 month until Singlespeed Cyclo-cross Nationals.  Our good friends at Cycles Lambert, Outdoor Gear Canada, Octto, Misfit Psycles and Wike Bicycle Trailers have stepped up in a big way to provide all sorts of good prizes. We hope to see you everyone out!
