We finished up Jonathan’s new 29er yesterday. Jonathan is 6’7 and his existing bike was in no way big enough to match his size.
We built up the bike with a mix of new and existing parts. Highlights include a Fox RLC 29 fork, Shimano 29er wheelset and a Thomson post.
The only issue that arises when building big bikes is finding someone to help out when it comes time to test ride. Sean was no help at all.
Jonathan was quite happy with his new bike and we hope that having a properly fitting bike opens up a whole new world of riding to him.
I finally got around to finishing up my mountain bike the other day. I’ve been riding it around with only one water bottle cage and no logos for several months now.
Sean and i are headed up to Mont. Ste Anne for the World Cup this weekend so i decided i should get it finished. It was quite the job to get the frame all masked up for sandblasting but i think the end result is quite nice. If you’re at the Word Cups, be sure to stop by the Canadian Cycling Association tent to say hi and meet some of Canada’s best up and coming Junior and Espoir racers.
Aside from the mountain bikes, the week has been spent filing and finishing lugged frames.

Here we have a lugged frame approaching completion.
